Gaming Guide

Easy to learn and easy to play, Baccarat is a game to be enjoyed by everyone. A total of four cards is initially dealt. The first and third are the Player's hand, and the second and fourth are the Banker's hand. Once the initial cards are dealt and exposed, the dealer announces the totals for each hand and additional cards are then drawn in accordance with the rules. (A maximum of one additional card may be dealt to either hand.)

The object of Baccarat is to bet on which hand will have the highest value. The highest hand in Baccarat is 9 and the lowest is 0. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings are counted as zero, an Ace counts as one, and all the other cards count their face value, so a hand containing a 9, 5 and a 10 equals 4 since the ten does not count (9+5+10=4).

There are three ways to bet in Baccarat: the Bank, the Player and/or the Tie. If the hand ends in a tie, there is no action on the Bank or Player's hand. All tie bets are paid nine for one. Each hand is dealt two cards. The total of the two cards determines whether a third card is drawn. The third card drawn to the player determines whether the Bank draws a card on 3, 4, 5 and 6. If the first two cards given to the Bank and the Player's hand total 6 or 7, no third card will be drawn with Natural 8 or 9.

The hand closest to nine wins. All winning bets on the Player's side are paid even money.

Winning Bank bets are charged 5% commission.
